Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid

Best-In-Class Fuel Economy And Just About Everything Else

Believe it or not, “fuel-efficient, full-size SUV” is not a contradiction in terms. It’s the 2013 Chevy Tahoe Hybrid. With an estimated 10.1L/100km city / 8.5L/100km highway, Tahoe Hybrid offers best-in-class fuel economy, plus the capability you've come to expect from Tahoe.

Tahoe Hybrid offers a well-appointed interior with seating for up to eight, plus all the bells and whistles you could want. It also offers 332 horsepower, 367 lb.-ft. of torque and up to 6,200 lbs. of towing capability, just in case you’ve wandered from the neighborhood to “off the beaten path.” Add to that the Tahoe 160,000-km/5-year Powertrain Warranty and 160,000-mile/8-year warranty on certain hybrid components, and you’ll realize Tahoe Hybrid pretty much offers the best of everything.

Exterior

Tahoe Hybrid Exterior

Rugged Good Looks

The 2013 Tahoe Hybrid has all of the impressive styling cues you’d expect, including an unmistakably powerful grille, 18” 12-spoke aluminum wheels, and an aggressive stance highlighted by a wide track and large tires. Sleek yet rugged lines reflect its go-anywhere, do-anything attitude. Plus, Tahoe Hybrid has been specifically engineered for aerodynamic efficiency and weight savings.

Tahoe Hybrid Wheels

From Concrete Jungles to Rugged Landscapes

Whether it's the weekday or the weekend, you need a lot of power to handle the demands of the road. From towing to hauling to driving kids around, Chevy Tahoe is the full-size SUV that's big on capability and comfort. It has everything you need to navigate Main Street or no street.

Make Yourself Comfortable

Tahoe Hybrid isn’t just spacious, it’s generous on comfort too. A perfect balance of form and function, Tahoe Hybrid offers ample seating for eight, leather-appointed first- and second-row seats, and power-adjustable heated front bucket seats.

Power Flow Diagram

The hybrid system in Tahoe Hybrid is constantly adjusting to optimize efficiency. The power flow diagram, located right on the navigation screen, allows you to track how the hybrid system is functioning in real time.

Total Climate Control

Tri-zone automatic climate controls feature individual climate settings for driver, front passenger and rear passengers. Heated-leather-appointed 6-way power front bucket seats provide added comfort.

Capability

Tahoe Hybrid Performance

Unrivaled economy, full-size power

Tahoe Hybrid Engine

The brain of the Tahoe Hybrid is a control module—the hybrid operating system—that monitors the drive system hundreds of times a second. In stop-and-go conditions, the hybrid operating system employs gas or electric power—or a mixture of both—and can turn the gas engine off when moving less than 48 kph. When you need to tow a heavy load, the transmission shifts to one of the fixed gears and uses the power of the V8.

Regenerative Braking

Regenerative braking captures energy that would otherwise be expended by braking friction. By using one or both of the electronically variable transmissions tractive motors as a generator, braking energy is converted to electrical energy and stored in the battery for future use.

Safety

Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid Frame

Full-Size Safety

There's a lot riding in your Tahoe Hybrid. That's why it includes some of the latest safety technology to help keep you safe on the road. Advanced electronic systems, coupled with engineering characteristics, like its steel safety cage, work together to help prevent collisions and to help protect you if you're in one. It's comprehensive safety before, during and after a collision.

Before

The StabiliTrak™ Electronic Stability Control System with Traction Control and four-wheel antilock brakes help you stay in control in slippery road conditions, and Proactive Roll Avoidance engages automatically to help reduce the risk of a rollover crash. The standard Tire Pressure Monitor is designed to let you know when tire pressure levels are less than optimal.

6 Airbags

During

Tahoe Hybrid is equipped with six standard airbags for the driver, right front passenger and outboard rear occupants, and a steel safety cage to help preserve occupant space in the vehicle.

After

OnStar Automatic Crash Response, standard for the first six months on all Tahoe Hybrid models, means you can be automatically connected to emergency assistance if a collision occurs—whether or not the airbags deploy.
