Three weeks of training were enough to allow Calgary Transit to launch new, four-car service Friday.
The rollout comes ahead of a planned December launch for the program and will see two four-car trains running on the Red Line (Tuscany to Somerset).
On the heels of the city seeking an injunction stopping Uber drivers from operating, the rideshare company has called on supporters to litter offices of councillors with letters voicing approval and concerns with city's legal actions.
According to the Mayor's office, they've been included on approximately 500 letters so far addressed to city councillors which appear to have been spurred by an Uber request. The letters appear to be ramping up for Monday's council meeting where rideshare regulation options will be discussed.
